IPL 2018: CSK Appoint Mike Hussey As Their Batting Coach – Michael Hussey, the Aussie legend who was an active participant of CSK for seven years has been appointed as the batting coach of Chennai Super Kings for the upcoming edition of IPL.
The 42-year-old, as we said was an active player in CSK for seven years. He was an integral part of CSK from 2008 to 2013. He was picked by Mumbai Indians in 2014 but again joined CSK in 2015 IPL edition. (Also Check: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Team Squad, Player List )
Often recognized as Mr. Cricket, Hussey played for CSK in 59 games, collecting 1768 runs at an average of 38.76, with one hundred and 15 fifties. He is the third highest run-getter for CSK after Raina (3,699) and MS Dhoni (2,987).

Mike Hussey was also rewarded with an Orange Cap for being highest run-getter in 2013 edition of IPL. During Mike Hussey’s eight years at Chennai Super Kings, the team won two titles and also qualified for playoffs in all eight seasons between 2008-2015.
If we talk about IPL, no doubt CSK is home for Mike Hussey. While expressing his views on being part of CSK as batting coach, Hussey said,
I am really excited about returning to the Chennai Super Kings in a coaching capacity and working with the players to help them get the best out of themselves and also help to bring success to this great franchise. I have so many great memories as a player and have made many wonderful friends in Chennai and now I am excited about giving back to the franchise in trying to help the next generation of CSK players. It is exciting to have CSK back in the competition and I am sure the fans are very happy to have their team back on the field
